Why Multiple Mod/Con Boiler Systems Will Shape The Future Of Hydronics
Some of you know what it's like to assemble a "knock-down" boiler. The rest of you should consider yourselves lucky you may never have to do this! The use of multiple modulating/condensing boilers is quickly establishing a new paradigm for what a multi-hundred thousand BTUH boiler plant looks like and how it performs. This session takes you from the past to the state-of-the-art. You'll learn how multiple mod/cons boilers can be used in larger residential and commercial systems. You'll see some unique piping and control concepts, learn the benefits of high system turn-down ratios, and discover the versatility, efficiency, and reliability these systems have to offer. |

The "Grand Slam" of Homerun Distribution Systems
Homerun distribution systems using PEX or PEX-AL-PEX tubing offer amazing versatility over distribution systems using metal piping. They improve thermal performance, simplify sizing, and reduce circulator power all at the same time. This session show you why they make sense as well as how to put these pieces together. It culminates by showing you a relatively simple system that combines the benefits of parallel piping, variable speed circulators, outdoor reset control, hydraulic separation, and buffering mass. Although it might sound complicated, it's really quite simple and easy to adapt to a wide variety of projects. I guarantee it will make you rethink some of your current design and installation methods.

Dan Holohan
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Sale
If you’ve watched people the way Dan Holohan has you know that they can say and do some pretty funny things when they set out to sell a product or service. When we get together, Dan will show you, through his delightful storytelling style, what goes right and what goes wrong in these situations, and why. By using real-life examples of everyday things he’ll show you how to think differently, and how to become much more effective at sales and marketing. Here are some of the things he’ll explore with you:
- Once upon a time, there was a little oil-burner manufacturer that took on the entire coal industry, and won. They did this with words.
- As the world gets more technical, learning how to explain things. gets more difficult. There’s a simple way around this, though.
- Once a year, you need to have a meeting with yourself where you ask and answer three key questions: What business am I in? Who are my customers? What are their problems?
- First impressions involve more than the way you look. Subtle stuff can kill a sale in a second. Some great examples at this seminar.
- Last impressions can do the same. More great examples!
- Why is it so hard to sell new products? (You have to be nine times better)
- What’s your sign? (Lots of dos and don’ts here)
- How to package your company so that it’s irresistible.
- If you can’t sell in America, you’re not paying attention (Here’s why)
- Price is no object (It really isn’t).
- How to find romance in the ordinary, and then use it to build excitement around your company.
- What’s the difference? How to turn your company from a commodity into a monopoly.
- Finding a niche. It’s a lot simpler than you think!
- What are the four points you must make in every ad?
- Why good newsletters work, and the elements of what goes into a successful one.
- How to think in a new way, and see things that others miss.
- How to see, hear, and feel the world as your customer does, and then use this knowledge to build rapport.
There’s much to be learned on the way to the sale. Through his storytelling style, and by using real-world examples, Dan will take you on a delightful tour of the many things that go right and wrong in the world of sales and marketing.
- You'll leave this seminar with fresh ideas that you can put to work immediately.
- You’ll learn how to think in a way you probably have never considered
- You’ll find out how to tell what people are thinking by listening to the words they use in ordinary conversation.
- Best of all, you’ll have fun, and you will not be bored!
